Consensual Enslavement

Suggested Reading

I could include many books and sources that I have learned from and which have influenced my work and knowledge consensual enslavement. There are literally more than I can remember, especially as some are effectively what not to do or which had only one or two useful things in them. Also, there are many which I don’t remember at this point. Since this an introduction and not an exhaustive review of literature, I will include some but not by any means all. There are good and bad, useful and not useful items to all the books or reports I have included. They are meant as background and resource material or just enjoyable reading. The first entries are fiction, the rest are non-fiction. The fiction books, especially the Gorean ones are where I started. The rest are later reads but you can be assured I have read and learned from all of them. I would not present them otherwise. Some are of more use than others and some are meant for more advanced knowledge and understanding than others.

Fiction can be a good place to start as long as you read for content, not just the sexy bits. Most of the useful things are in the background, not the foreground of the stories and the stories were never meant to be slave training guides. That does not mean they are not useful. Some of the non-fiction was very definitely never meant to be used to train slaves and some, such as by Raven Kaldera, was intended specifically for that. What you will not find here are many well known and popular books by famous in BDSM authors. That is because they did not have much bearing on the concepts and techniques of this site or they are just not very useful for consensual enslavement. There is utility in all the books I have included.

I am including the Gorean books because they are where I started this journey and my research into consensual enslavement. The books are about another planet where over time various human cultures were brought to settle and live and where slavery is still legal. There is in the series a Caste (trade-skill guild) of Slavers. I asked myself what would someone in that caste know and set out to learn it. There are a lot of useful tools for consensual enslavement tucked into the books and some things which were historically done to slaves which should never be done again. The author says he was never a part of BDSM and knows little about it but he still got many things which work or lead to things which work. The underlying stories as sword and sandal science fiction are pretty good too.

The Gorean books predate most of the current BDSM lifestyle and the term BDSM by close to 30 years. Much more has been taken from them into BDSM than most people know and fewer are willing to readily admit. The biggest is the slave positions and names for them but there is much more such as the Turian style collar and a lot of things which became online staples.

No Safewords

Edited By Laura Antoniou, a collection of Marketplace fan fiction

The Marketplace series was the first BDSM fiction I read that dealt with consensual enslavement in a realistic and believable way. They are also very good reading and I highly recommend them for that reason alone. Yes, some things done in the books are rather fantastical but the core of how things are done and trained by all I understand would work with someone who wished to be a slave in that system. They also work at a much higher level of protocol and service than most people do or wish to do, therefore the training is much more intense and lengthy.

I have included only some of Raven’s books. These are the ones I have read or will read that I feel apply the most to consensual enslavement. This is not fiction but how real people really do this. He also goes well beyond the areas most BDSM books do and deals with physical and mental problems that are often hidden and very seldom ever mentioned in connection with BDSM and consensual enslavement but are all too common. In each and every book there are practical things everyone can use and learn from. They have the most generally useful information per page of any author I have read to date.

Biderman Report:

COMMUNIST COERCIVE METHODS FOR ELICITING INDIVIDUAL COMPLIANCE.

Dr. Alfred D. Biderman M.A

Presented at a combined meeting of the Section on Neurology and Psychiatry with the New York Neurology Society at The New York Academy of Medicine. November 13, 1956. as part of a Panel Discussion on Communist Methods of Interrogation and Indoctrination. This reports based on work done under ARDC Project No. 7733, Task 77314, in support of the research and development program of the Air Force Personnel and Training Research Center, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.

This is the primary report on Communist brainwashing techniques used by the Chinese and North Koreans on captured mostly American military members to get false confessions and propaganda statements supporting the communists and against the UN Forces fighting them. It was and to some extent still is the core information for capture resistance training for mainly the US Air Force and to some extent for the other services and has been since the late 1950’s. To state it very simply, the techniques used in Korea worked to varying extents. Some of them also work in consensual enslavement.

'Compass Of Pleasure': Why Some Things Feel So Good

As heard on NPR Fresh Air

https://www.npr.org/2011/06/23/137348338/compass-of-pleasure-why-some-things-feel-so-good

This is a non-fiction book about neuroscience written for laymen. It is very readable even if you have very little  knowledge of the human brain and neurology. I included the NPR interview as it was how I first heard about the book during my drive home from work. I literally sat in the garage until it was over before I went inside. It was that interesting. I then found it on the web and listened to it again before I got the book.

Much of what happens in consensual enslavement is mental and the chemistry of the brain and how it processes things plays an important part in it once you learn how to recognize and utilize the knowledge. Once you reach a certain stage of learning and experience most of your sources no longer come from the kink community but from scientific research and findings. This takes your understanding and abilities to a higher level than most people conceive of and never go.
