Movement Restrictions

Apprentice

Restricting a person’s movements is a form of Control over that person. This can be by command or with the use of physical restraints which may restrict slightly or totally certain movements. Movement in this case can be moving body parts or changing location.

It may be used to limit a range of motion or movement or to completely immobilize someone or something. It can also limit their ability to perform certain actions requiring movement. Movement restrictions for a limited time can be used as reminders of control or as punishments. Prolonged use of restraints which limit hand movement or mobility for hours or days may produce a powerful initial enforcement of the slave’s Status and their Master’s control even if the Master is not present.
