Status in this case is the relative or difference in status between two people. Specifically, the Master and the slave. The Status tool manipulates the internal and external perceived status of an individual. If a person perceives themselves to be in a lower status position compared to another then they will tend to be more submissive and differential to that other person. The reverse is true for someone who perceives themselves to be of a higher status. They will tend to be more dominant and commanding than someone of lower status.
Whether the slave is clothed, naked or wearing little or specific types of clothing, their attire is often used to indicate equal, low, or no status and thus the unclothed or Naked person has an inferior and submissive status to someone who is clothed. Language, demeanor, physical positions and many other characteristics can indicate that one person has a higher or lower status compared to another.
