Control is a requirement in any consensual slavery relationship. It is the cornerstone of any power exchange relationship where one person controls the other. Anything and everything about a slave may be controlled by their Master. The control may vary from very light and barely noticeable to the absolute inability to do anything without the Consent of the Master. It will fluctuate over time with what is controlled and when control is applied. In most cases, control is one of the main things a consensual slave is seeking from their Owner.
Control is implemented through multiple general behaviors and roles. An individual's demeanor, Status, position and overall personality can cause another to do as requested and are a basis for a form of control. There is also the role one person has with another which can require some amount of control of one person over another. Certain officials can command it at times as can something as informal as a boy/girlfriend or spousal relationship, if the assumption is that one of those will control some aspect of the relationship. For more formal control roles such as the Titles of Top, Dom, Master or Owner or whatever term you use that means the same or similar thing, the default assumption is that they have some amount of control over others. There is more explicit control when those titles are the dominant part of a defined power transfer or consensual slavery relationship
When it is part of a formal relationship, the control may be implied with an “of course you will obey” attitude or by an “obey or be punished for disobedience” threat, depending on the many factors that make up such relationships.
Control can be over anything from assigned tasks, activities, clothing, self-expression choices, contacts, and activities. For each relationship, the degree of control may be from seldom applied to the intensity of one person micromanaging every aspect of the other person's life. The amount of control within each relationship can also vary with some things effectively not being controlled at all to other things being controlled completely down to the smallest detail. The permutations are effectively endless.
